Not as often as I like as well. I would guess on average once a fortnight, but that will change this year as I have  made a promise to chill more and get out there.

As i do a lot of beach detecting during the summer it tends to be 3 to 4 times a week then but during the winter once or twice a week but would go as i could given the chance.

under normal circumstances i get out at least once a week..... Cheesy....but recently i have not been able to do so due not just to the weather...my wife fell on the ice so i have been looking out for her.....hopefully all will be back to normal soon..... Wink....byron

I dont get out much in the winter a see it as a time to recharge my Detecting battery's.
I also have a winter holiday from my other love which is Biking/Bike Rallies

Ive recently taken up shooting again thanks to Karl aka Salty and i must admit i have been venturing out into the frozen wasteland recently (against me better Judgment)
Id say im a fair weather detectorist  ;0)

In the summer once a week would be the norm

In my younger days I`d be out probably 6 days a week very often. Now I`m older, I`m lucky if i can make it twice a week through various commitments and reasons.
Its not that i don`t want to, but things just change beyond your controll..

I hurt my back at the Scan rally on 6th Dec...that took a few weeks to get better then we had snow....the snow thawed then I injured my heel crushing an empty beer can..that's now better and now they've gone and forecast more snow for tomorrow.....woe is me!!!  Sad Sad Sad

I used to put in about 20 hours per week, but have only been out 8 times in the last 2 years due to other commitments.
