The ring was found , and returned to the owner who lost it 2 weeks previous to my finding it.
Needles to say she was delighted to have it returned.
What a great hobby.

That is a Beauty, are they precious stones?
The owner must of been so worried at first!

The owner tells me they are 1ct diamonds, and the value was $15000 Canadian Dollars.
The lady was playing with her finger on a boardwalk overlooking the grassy part of the beach when it came off.
It was 2 weeks later when I found it for her, she was almost ready to claim the insurance.
The story should be a write up in the next US MDI.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Ken

Shes a lucky lady Many would have pocketed that beauty.

A few weeks ago me and few mates went to Aberavon and a few youngsters ask one of our party if he could look for a Ring that one of them had lost .
I could see by the looks on there face,s it was a prank !
I Hope there isnt going to be a craze of kids tricking Detectorists.
I can see some of us ending up on YOU TUBE lol

Grin Grin Grin My best tip for ceasing to become the Pied Piper on the beach IS!!> If you go with a mate detecting on the beach and you are plauged by the army of Kids pestering you to ask what you`ve found do what i do. I just say to them>
"See that guy over there. He`s just found a Gold axe with lots of diamonds and rubies all over it, Go and ask him to show it you. Within a blink of an Eye there GONE all charging off over to my pester my Mate. I then do a double quick stride in the opposite direction to them . !! Grin Grin Grin Grin Works EVERY time.
