any ideas , i found these in the same field  they are around 1" 3/4------inch and 3 quarters long

It is interesting but are you sure it's copper Rob, from the photos it looks like pewter (could be my eyesight) part of a spoon perhaps?

I was thinkling maybe they are the tips of the handles, could be any size of spoon or ladle really.

Would say the top one is definitely a spoon handle. Not so sure about the second but probably the same. Would think 18th C
