As the weather is a bit naff, i thought it might be interesting for all if we posted pics of unusual tokens that have been found.
The "Token" pictured below was one i found awhile ago but was totally black & covered in crud but gave it a whirl in my new ultrasonic cleaner & it`s come up a treat.
I think the inscription on it is self explanatory (French-Tram Token-Dated 31 Dec 1921) & therefore we know what it is but still a very "unusual" find all the same.
I`ve shown you mine,now show me yours!  Shocked

Hope to get a ID when I record it, found on the beach, on the rocks, I think thats why its in the condition it is. Too old to be "Mad Max" now Ray. Grin Wink

I thought I'd done an ID for that one Maxine. It's a farthing token issued by Robert Ugden of Minehead. The picture is thought to be a double-edged axe. I don't know for certain, but maybe he was a blacksmith or toolmaker of some sort?

Well as the response to this thread is "Overwhelming"  Roll Eyes i thought i`d post this pic of one i found on the "Altinkum" get together a couple of weeks ago.
