What do you lot think of a Treasure section in the detector finds section. I dont mean for web based news articles, but for members that have been lucky enough in the past (and future) to find artifacts or coins that have been declared as treasure. It would be nice to see past Treasure finds and hear off the members the story behind the find.

As the regulars on here know I was lucky enough to find a ring thats currently going through the treasure process, but please  dont think I'm posting this for my own ego boost  Grin Wink

It's just one of my bug bears but I don't think "Treasure" would be the best choice of titles although it would be accurate. Maybe just "Declared" or even "Treasure trove".

I dont like the term treasure either Chef, gives out the wrong impression of detectorists... But it is the governments chosen termonology.

Open to suggestions for the title everyone.

you could title the new section, findsreported to the coroner.

the section should also include details/link to the treasure act.

Rob like the idea. What about the title of "Reported Treasure Trove Finds"? The first word says it all, and makes it sound responsible from the outset.
