1761 is george the 11 not 111 so it got to be a gaming piece very well done mick they are great and very nice for your display  Wink

i enlarged it and i think the date is 1761....i can only find one guinea with that date, but the bust is different and it has the crowned shield of Curras on the reverse.....byron....ps..according to my copy of spink (2000)......george 3rd is1760 - 1820
