When I first saw this thread title, I thought you were gonna be talking about McDonalds, Phil.

Most of my favourite Eyes Only finds are old pottery pieces. I love finding old slipware and people finding Samian ware and the like is just as good as finding a coin or artefact in my book.

i've created a big display board to take with me when our club does an exhibition. the display board is about a metre high and half metre wide and on it in date order, it contains examples of pottery throughout the ages.

regretfully i don't have a piccy of it to show you, and the board is at a colleagues house at present. .. but it is an idea and it does create a talking point and an excellent backdrop to the artefacts shown on the tables.

maybe this could be a club project - to create such a board - it would help new members a lot.

cheers
