Thought this would be usefull seeing as we swop machines a lot .
If you own a ML Explorer (any model version) please read the following information carefully

It is noted that all ML Explorer battery chargers have exactly the same plug fitted as the XP Wireless chargers, customer are asked to be careful which charger is used as the voltages are very much higher on the Explorer charger which can damage some earlier WS headphones both small and large type.

Over the weekend a customer experienced a small fire as a result of possibly mixing up the two chargers, as a precaution I would urge you to clearly mark both chargers immediately.

1/ This is the first time XP have experienced this kind of problem.
2/ Since June 2006 XP have added protection on the battery itself to avoid over voltage to it.
3/ Since approx. September 2007 XP have added a diode to protect the charging chip on all WS1/3.
4/ Since May 2009 XP have replaced this diode with a specific circuit to avoid ML (or any other) power supplies damaging anything.

Please pass this information onto anyone who owns either detector in the interest of safety.

If you are not sure about any part of this announcement please contact Regton Ltd

Thank's to Nigel of Regtons for this warning.
