What's the worst thing'

What's the worst thing you can remember about being a detectorist.
This morning i was sat watching TV and on there was a Roman site in Spain and has they unearthed the finds there in tact was a Roman sword
,then my heart sank. and remember when i and very good  found what we thought was a Roman sword, We laughed and said
what if it was we laughed a bit more and i cut it in to fence post.We found out sometime later that the land owners son had taken it to school.only for the school to find out that it was a Roman Sword.
                                                  Oh well we live to detect another day
