when first get the garrett 250 i manage to knock the rino skin off the coil.(before i brought coil cover) the rino skin not that much a rino...lol. but  i took rino skin back to the coil and u get another extea 1 cm  but be carful

sorry to sound daft, but i'm afriad you have totaly lost me Huh
Are you refering to removing the resin used to fill the coil?
this strikes me as not the smartest thing to attempt, also the resin is inert to the coil signals and will have no effect on depth other than making the coil thickness less, hence geting closer to the deck, this seems a bit drastic if this is what your saying
