Cheers Phil, It's difficult for me at the moment as I work away from home all week and the family time is on  the w/ends but hopefully things will change soon.

Any advice on a tidy detector ?

You may also be able to clear something up for me..................................now this may be a really stupid question but I was talking to a guy who said he was a regular detector and when I asked if he had found any Roman coins, he laughed and said "They are like litter, everyone finds them" HuhHuh I sense he was fibbing  Huh

hmmmmm like litter he said ?  Bronze roman coins can be common. But only in the right area. Silver Roman coins are a lot harder to come by.

I dont think he was fibbing , just exaggerating .

Don't believe him

There are probably thousands of detectors in the UK who have been detecting for years and have NEVER found a Roman coin.

On the subject of a good detector. Get a good second hand one fella. If you can get a minelab they are a good proven machine. There'll be plenty of advice on here regarding which detector is best i assure you  Cheesy
