Everyone should recognise a Roman ornate "wee wee potty" from the 200 / 300ad era. .... such an easy artifact to idetify ... LOL

The writing appears to be Greek. It looks to ornate to be from a pestle and mortar . I'll go all Time Team...Its ritual!

It's the 2nd C roman patera (handled pot) known as the Staffordshire moorlands patera  found in 2003 which lists 4 forts on Hadrians Wall. Another great contribution to history by detectorists! For more details see
