Found in same corner of the field as Roman help 1 and 2. Same question applies Is it Genuine
Obverse reads   IMP C GALVAL MAXIMIM SPFAYG
Reverse reads   GENIO AUGUSTI  with the letters HT at the foot of a figure holding a owl in their right hand and a cone or horn in their left hand. waist high a star is placed on the figures left and a letter H on the right. More info appreciated.

I might be wrong, but I wonder whether these coins may be fakes. Did they come out of the ground like this or have you cleaned them?

spent about an hour cleaning up each coin by hand. they were almost unreognisable.Have since found out less than half a mile away a huge roman iron working site was unearthed during archaeological work ahead of a building project two years ago and that a previous detectorist had found other coins in the top part of the same field that were of similar quality. so i,m quite encouraged. Am going to show them to the local  flo of the portable antiquities scheme next week so he will hopefully give them the nod.

How did you clean them Walton, as they look great? I have quite a few grots that I haven't touched - winter nights and all that!

Theres more to be found in that field!
