Hi , i dont go beach detecting as a rule but am thinking og giving Barry a go in the week. What are the factors to take into account when setting up the detector , or do you use the same programme, also big coil (15x12 sef) or small coil?

I got the DFX which is highly programmable its got dual frequecy  3 and 15  would one of these be better for the beach or is dual fine?

Don, forget to check your tide times ROB  you want to catch it on the turn and follow it out to the low tide line , thats the best area , try below beach wall number 4 , cheers mike ,,,,,, ps tide times should be on the web , if not let me know what day you going and i'll have a look for you
