Hi there im new 2 this site! Been metal detecting for bout 8 months! hoping 2 learn a lot more about my new hobby! im sure u guys will share a few tips with me on some succesful detecting!

 i'm sure you'll learn a bit on here to start with as you go along.  also think about visiting a detecting club too with a view to join,  will be well worth it,

Hi Andy , welcome to the site ,best tip don't throw anything away that you don't recognise, and other than gently washing away dirt , don't try to clean anything that you think may have some age. Other than that the more time you spend detecting the more you will find.
p.s. if you look in the gallery there are a lot of bits in there!

I was in the Wilderness for 10+ years before i Joined a local Detecting club with my Father-in-law Des (Kane in the forum).
join a local active metal Detecting club would be my advice

good luck with your searching
