hi all , the finder of the hoard will be finacially set for the rest of his life, but will he still get the same buzz, everytime he leaves home to go detecting in the future after such an out of this world  find, lets face it.    It will not be bettered for a very long time  "if ever"  what are your views please

The financial reward he will get from the find will be fantastic, but if he's a truly dedicated detectorist, he'll still get a buzz from finding the odd hammered , milled silver ect.  On a far smaller scale , I've found hammereds , but when I dig up a nice Vicky half penny I still get a buzz.

I hope he continues to detect and I hope he still finds it rewarding to claim these 'insignificant' jewels of history back from the soil.

i know TAFF even if he found a £1000000 hoard he would still run down a field with his shirt over his head and his belly flapping if he found a hammy .........iv seen that in real life Grin Wink

I used to go fishing two or three times a week sometimes. Then I caught a thirty three pounds cod. Went a couple of times after but it wasn't the same. I wonder if the finder of this hoard will lose the thrill too?

Don't know if there's any truth in it but on The One Show last night they said that he bought the detector 14yrs ago and paid £2.50p for it.  Shocked Shocked Huh

One report said he was using a Whites XLT but if its the press and they dont know they would just make it up.
