I was out last weekend on a club dig nr Chester, organised by Steve Morris (aka Flyboy) for the Wrexham Heritage Society. After only about 1/2 an hour this beauty turned up.
It probably dates to the 15th century, and came up from about 8" on pasture.
To say im happy with it is an understatement. i have contacted the landowner and the FLO and it will be handed in to go through the treasure process.
A big thanks to Steve (Flyboy) for getting the site.

John, that is beautiful.
Well done mate, keep us all posted on it's progress if you would.

There seems to have been quite a few really lovely rings found over the last year so maybe it'll be my turn soon  Wink

Thats a beauty John - well found. That would have certainly belonged to a person of substance - I'm guessing the stones are Ruby - possibly sand rubies due to the age, and a natural Blue Saphire. Stunning ring - i wonder if the stones have some meaning - they normally did during this period. Unusual to see two set together,

Congratulation and thanks for posting the First bit of treasure found since this site was formed. May there be many more.

Well done
