Just thought I would post these, the majority of the broken ones come from land that is in constant use, the henry's and elizabeth are off land that has only just been ploughed regularly , prior to that it was mostly pasture for many years

Wow some nice coins there Steve,that irish one is nice,and the Charles 2nd,funny thing with my area is although i find a lot of very small broken half's of hammerds i never find any cut halfs or quaters. Smiley Were any found in Wales.

The ones I used to find in Wales were much better than that, usually complete i.e. two Mary groats, Henry v111 archbishop Warham half groat, Henry v1 groat a long list of lovely coins (the only golds I have found have been welsh, george 1 half guinea, charles 1 crown)  , all of the coins on the borders are broken if they are bigger than a halfpenny, wish I was detecting back on those welsh pastures!!!!!!!!!!
