I was watching other detectorists in the Newbury rally last weekend. I couldnt believe how high they held the coil.

Don't criticise, they're leaving the goodies for you to find. Grin

not only high but the speed that some people swing that coil is amazing! they actually think they are covering more ground but as Richy said they're leaving more goodies for us to find. Wink

I agree with Richy

Dont tell them that if there coil is 5 inchs off the ground their loosing 5 inchs of depth through the soil/sand
more for us to find  Grin

My pet hate on rallies over the bridge is Detectorist without headphones grrrr

Mine went dead in Caerleon 1 so had to use my detector without for a bit till Tigger Aka Nigel give me a lend of his spare.

Some dont even bother to use them. i can handle the single tone detectors its the multi tone ones that get on my wick lol

grumble over lol

all the best
