went detecting with FARMERPHIL,DIG IT, JONOLA,WALTONBASONMAN, on sunday at llanarth meet at 10am went to field we been in b4 farmerphil found a few copper coins,dig it with his first 2 signals found Lizzy 2ND sixpence and copper coin,dig its  headphones packed in so old mugging (ME)  Grin walked back to the car to get my spare pair for him ,on the way back farmerphil came walking up the road he forgot his batteries Grin the best thing was tired bugger came back down to the field in his car Roll Eyes Grin so got started in the field after about 20mins of finding nothing and been looking at JONOLA digging this massive hole ,he had been there a good 7mins but did not take much notice,then i saw DIG IT walk over to him i carried on detecting then JONOLA came up to me with these 2 coins that looked like STATERS Huh Huh Huh Huh for a split second i thought  Huh no way and JONOLA just chuckled , he and WALTONBASONMAN tried to set me and my good m8 DIG IT up but we weren't fooled Grin nice try guys  Grin Grin, myself DIG IT and JONOLA  went off into another field where i did find a nice buckle but not much else . we went into another field were a lot of copper coins were found , near the end of the day tho DIG IT came  up with the nice hammy he found ,well done m8, i also found a nice looking button or a draw handle !!!!!! Huh Huh

Cracking buckle Kev - its a cast copper alloy, double loop with rosettes on the outer edges circa 1550-1650. May have been tinned hard to tell from the photos - probably was. Well done on the dirty photo as well  Wink - can you post a copy of it in "Finds in the Soil" mate.

Well done on the hammies boys - the buckles date pretty much fits in with them as well.

My finds were three coppers, a decent button and these two staters. How they rumbled they were copies so quickly I don't know! I paid 75p EACH for those two!
