One of my machines is a Whites MXT and I love it!
It has been so loyal to me over the years, it's so simple to use and has found some incredibly small finds!
Can't wait to try out the newer version  Smiley

Has anyone on here used the MXT with anything other than the standart stock coil & if so, would you recommend spending the money to upgrade or maybe buy the new MXT?

Hi BB, I've used the MXT with the 1400 and 10x5 DD coils and can recommend them both. By the new MXT I presume you mean the MXT300 which has the same electronics as the current model but is fitted with the new 300 coil, bit of a con if you ask me.

Trigger is well up on the MXT, If you PM him I'm sure he'll give you all the info you need.

Cheers Richy
And to think I was toying with the idea of buying the 300!
I have thought about perhaps trying another coil but to be quite honest with you I've had so much luck with the standard one I just didn't know if it was really worth the outlay.
Thanks for the info

get the 1400dd they go for around £80 on ebay. their much better than the stock coil for ground coverage /depth and still very sensitive to very small item's. you wont be wasting you money getting one of these.   mike

Thans for the input guys, I dread to think how good these other coils are as the stock coil has been fantastic over the years!
I will be treating myself after Christmas  Wink
