Went out today in between showers and found a nice looking chain.Not rusty not brass cleans up silver in the places i have rubbed.any ideas anybody i thought it might be from a millitry dress uniform chin strap.? or horse furniture.

I think you were on the money with a chin strap, they are the same on a modern bear skin.

Its a chain off a horses bridal
it goes across in front of the ears
just above the eyes you normally get
them on cobs
