Mark and I (Jonathan) were out today at one of our sites and Mark had the superfluous good fortune to find this late medieval – early Tudor purse frame; no coins I’m afraid (yet).   Wink

Thanks all, even though it was Mark who found it; some people have all the luck! Going to bring it to the Scan Club meeting tomorrow; it's a chunky thing and there's another part to it not photographed that is a metal strip with a Tudor rose at the top.  It was found in the same hole but can't see how it would attach, even though there must be a relationship between the two parts, ah well.  Tongue

Excellent find my friend, could the strip have been attached to the purse which has now rotted away?

It could have been Dickle, there is definatelly a relationship between the two.  Maybe it was attatched to some fabric which has rotted away?
