This has had me stumped for quite a while now, it's not a detecting find but something I've had in my bits box for many many years now!

What is it & what does it say?

Kris, reading the inscription on the reverse it looks like an Italian commemorative medal for the battle of Vettoria Venito which took place between 24 Oct-4 Nov 1918.

If you google the above you'll probably find out more. Smiley Smiley.

Just googled it again and it appears to be an Italian medal commemorating 20 yrs since the end of WW1.

"Associazione Nazionale Combattenti" is the Italian equivalent of our Veterans Association.

One has just sold on the Italian eBay site for 2 euros. Shocked

It may not be worth much but it looks nice.
