Hi guys n gals

Across the border we have a very succesful scheme, where every county has a dedicated finds liaison officer to whom we can approach to register finds that are over 300 years old.

I'm not familiar with the set up in Wales, but it may be worth a page of contacts names and address of the counties Finds Liaison Officer, both in England and Wales.

Our FLO always attends our monthly meetings and holds regular surgeries where any member of the public can register finds.

i strongly recommend that all detectorists record their artefacts and finds with the scheme, so that a true historical record can be built up,

Same set up over here fella. We have an F.L.O - Mark Lodwick , comes to our find of the month meetings and registers our finds, he'll also take them away to get more info on them if the needs requires. As far as I know you can also take any finds to him in Cardiff museum. Not sure on that though, the find of the month meeting has always sufficed for myself.

thanks for that tafflaff and DIGGA, much appreciated indeed.

but i think a PAS contacts page would be useful, bearing in mind visitors to the area [like me!] know who to contact and where they are based around wales!!

Yip good idea fella , not only that there are some people not club members that might not know who to contact.

i guess the easiest way is to list the counties in wales and england, and let us inform you who the contact is , plus email address, for our local areas.
