The Crown Estate used to charge £15 per beach per year and you was restricted to the size of holes you dug.
I know the charge was scraped 2 years ago but i think there still restrictions on size maybe someone could let me know

I was starting to think along the same lines too,but Iain mills finaly got in touch today and gave me a link to apply.So i thought f£%& it,might as well then.
It took me about 30 seconds and within 5 minutes they emailed me a permit.
