hi guys,

first time with the xterra 50 on the swansea foreshore and quickly realised that sensitivity setting of 8 to 10 was more than enough to get good signals.

i also recommend detecting on the fixed pattern 2, if you want to avoid digging up the bottle tops, tin foil, etc. But be aware, some of the wkd bottle tops gave a reading of 27, close to the 30 reading associated with most coins.

i still dug down to spade depth of around 6 to 8 inches on several occasions, until i lowered the sensitivty even further.

in 2 hours we managed to find all the coins in the uk decimal system, to the tune of £4.87. enough to buy 2 cups of coffee on the way home, [all 185 miles!]

LOL - real reason for 'coming home' was to help me mum celebrate her 80th birthday.

Naturally one took the opportunity to spend a couple of hours detecting!

Am now wondering if i could get away with claiming the hotel expense as a business trip!
