Anyone heard anything about how Whites are weathering the recession ?

When I was in the U.S. in March I was told they had some problems but as it was from a dealer who didn't sell Whites I ignored it but recently the rumour has surfaced in this country.

It would be a pity if they followed the other companies that have disappeared in the last few years though I suppose its possible that the almighty Bounty Hunter might absorb another brand and then we might get the better warranties that they offer in the U.S.

I don't suppose the high price of the V3 and low pound has helped.

Seems more detector brands have gone in the last few years or have almost no market presence, than ever before.

I haven't heard anything Brian but like you said what with the recession it was a particularly bad time to launch the V3, a detector costing around 1300 quid.

I used Whites machines for years and will be sorry if they go to the wall. Sad Sad
