HI THERE  DOC  I TOOK A NEWBIE  UP  FOR  A BASH ON SOME OF MY LAND TODAY  AND  HE  FOUND  THIS  COIN ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,     THE  FINDER   WAS    BRYN ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,   IT SEEMS TO  BE  IRISH  AS IT  HAS A HARP ON THE  BACK   AND  IS DATED  1807 ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,  ITS  ABOUT  THE SAME  SIZE  AND  WEIGHT  AS A CARTWHEEL  TWO PENCE ,,,,,  AND  HE ASKED  ME TO PUT  A PIC  OF IT  ON  HERE  FOR HIM  SO HE  CAN  GET  AN   ID  ON IT  ,,,,,,,,,,, MANY THANKS   Grin Grin Grin Grin

Looks like a George III Irish penny of 1807. Harp on reverse and bust of the king on the obverse.

HI Flipper, yeah they came over in their hoards in the 17 and 18 hundreds to work the land,  Dig out for the tracks for the new railways and roads ect, irish navies,

when i seen this coin found by Byron on sunday  i said it was a George Irish penny or 2 penny piece . my knowledge of coins is getting better  Grin Grin Grin............ nice coin byron well done m8 Wink
