Ring - needs a proper clean - only tried a little of it with silver foil.

Forgot to add I also found a fiver!

Was that a £5 note?  .............You've a good detecta to pick up the metal strip in them notes!

Stones tested and they are Cubic Zaconia }fake diamonds} - not that I really expected them to be ice, but you never know! Roll Eyes

Oh well, maybe next time!

I'll be detecting Crantock Beach in the next few days.

Photos of finds to follow hopefully.

hi neil, well done on finds, the bottle we call beer bottles, was probably made between 1900 to 1915 approx  winslade bottles where fairly rare, if i recollect right regards john

Thanks John - I didn't realise it was that old. Its bizzare to think its been knocking about on a beach for the best bart of 100 years and remained intact without a single chip on it! As I said earlier it was literally just lieing there full of sand and half exposed.

Goes to show how much a beach can be stripped of sand in the right condition as plenty of detectorists go on this one and I am sure someone over a hundred years would have picked him up.
