After a hard days Dectecting the last thing i think about is cleaning my white coloured  Detector , when i get around to doing it the mucks caked on  Sad

Ive started using VET WRAP on my Explorer its a non sticky tape that sticks to itself its washable and hard wearing.
I wrap it just under the stand over the cheap looking tape grip and down the white shaft as far as the adjustable carbon bit (and no i dont cover the control box that would be silly lol)
Vets use it to bind Horse,s and other animals parts together It comes in every colour you can think of ( i wouldnt recomend Green you may loose your detector for good lol)
Ive done mine black to hide the dirt and i pretend my EX11 is an Explorer SE  Tongue
You can get it at the Vets,Ebay,Farm shops and that sort of place
Anyone got any neat ways of protecting the headphone socket and plug from bad weather ?
I use a bicycle intube from a kids bike.about 3 inchs.
I cable tie the tube to the cable and pull the tube tighly over the Plug and socket and battery door

well i would also do this .
seal your explorer/etrac with a fully waterproof sealer then apply that tape i use sticky insulation tape from wilkinsons black. ok it sticks and mark but a good clean with white vinigar does the trick.
similar to phils great idea for head phones try a rubber glove thatat works but the inner tube seems  much better i tried the cut down lucasade bottle keep loosing them halfway through the day.
other thing to do if it gets mud on it just leave it dirty lol
