Found this a few weeks back just got around to cleaning it,looks like some sort of brooch,the fitting on the back looks quite modern,any ideas on age,its about an inch across the widest part.

Thanks for all the replies,i really appreciate your views,i was thinking it wouldn't be more than 50-100yrs old,and the Art's and Crafts idea would seem likely,Thanks for the link Flipper very interesting.
