I managed to get out today on a site I’ve had hammered off in the past and found this lovely ring, my first gold! I can see it’s gold but it’s not hallmarked, it does have some writing around it but I can’t make it out.
I’m wondering could it be medieval?

Can you take photos so that we can see all the letters?

Thats a cracking bit if treasure - well done.

The cross will donate the start or end of the legend. any chance you could list the letters from there and we can try and read it?

cheers

Hi Neil,
Many thanks yes I will try and get some photos tomorrow if each letter, they are difficult to work out though. I will put a post up here again tomorrow. The cross appears to be the same shape as a templar cross.
Thanks
