Hi Auntie Val 

I've had to give up detecting , as you know I've had back problems and it looks to be some sort of auto immune disease that attacks the spine.... I'm booked in to see a rheumatologist , hopefully they ll find out what's wrong and prescribe me something .
Back to the ring..... Pre Colombian in design and tests high carat almost pure gold.... could well be from the the Spanish Conquests

Hope they get you sorted. Spent a few hours at Rheumatology dept at our local Hospital with John. He had full blown Polymyalgia. Same sort of thing as you but his affected all his muscles (look it up) got it under control, mainly with steroids plus one or two other nasty drugs.
Anyway, as you say, fingers crossed.

I've seen similar in the 2p waterfall machines in Porthcawl arcades
