Hi guys here are  several finds from a few searches. By far the best for me anyway is the lovely Saxon strap end which came out of long pasture grass so the Nox done well, this field should be topped in a couple of weeks so I will be in it like a shot, may be with the large coil if I decide to buy and punch a bit deeper. The Romans came from a grass field now in maise so I missed the plough search, however come harvest I will be back for sure. The tiny piece of Gold plate came from a desperate search on dry cultivated land providing bird cover for the shoots later in the season. The little cut 1/4 and debased Stater came from a pasture search.

The strap end is beautiful, what a find. Bet you can’t wait to get back in there.
All the coins are in pretty good condition as well. Your certainly getting some good results from your new mate..
Do I remember you saying it was deep ?  Grin nice to see the results coming up. Well found Paul.

Hi Val, hope you and John are well. The strap end was not that deep maybe 4-6" but considering the length of the grass it was a lucky signal I reckon. Grin The coins usually come up pretty good condition from this site although mostly 4th cent.  Wink

Hey up Ron, I do love these little strap ends as I'm sure you do. Trouble is when the grass is topped the ground will be hard to dig probably  Grin still, should pull up a few bits fingers crossed.... Wink
