Hi all,
Has anyone heard of a metal detecting rally in Conwy County next weekend? I had a facebook link sent to me by a friend and sounds good (150 acres around roman fort at Caerhun) but Im a bit sceptical as it doesnt seem to appear anywhere on the web, pay upfront (only£20 for the weekend). I have messaged the organiser this morning but no reply yet (it was only an hour ago). It sounds legit but you never know these days....

I think I’ve seen that one on the Detecting Wales page. Don’t know the person who advertised it but if you get an answer just make sure you pay on the day. No chance of loosing your cash then.
Best of luck if you go.

p.s. just had another look. The advert is still there but the info link has been removed. Maybe they’ve got enough entrants. It was pay by PayPal as well.! .?

Thanks for advice Val. What makes me think it was OK was that it was pay by paypal so could have sent via "goods & Services" and got a refund if it didnt happen. Problem on the day will be finding the site, although I know the area so will take a look anyway.

I've  just been  told  that the land  has been  done to death  by detectorists,  don't  take  it as gospel  but it came from a very reliable  source. Good  luck  if you go.
