I'd love to do some mudlarking - to some extent I did as a child as my parents used to take us to the foreshore looking for roman pottery between Newport and Cardiff, but tides are quite mean by there and the council has dumped loads of rocks and rubbish there, so there's nothing to find anymore.

I keep looking at the Usk by the Brynglas tunnels as I drive to and from work - there's a good stony river bed at low tide - but how to get there safely - and get out safely too.
