Hi guys, have a go at these 2 bronze artefacts.. They both have age to them I know, the larger one looks like some sort of hanger ? 6cm long. The smaller hedgehog type item is 4 cm and does have me baffled......Over to you please.

For the second one, are those both sides in the pictures?

Hi Doc sorry I've duplicated the same side. The back is flat and no design.

At 4cm I’d guess the smaller one is a harness/bridle mount.

Makes me wonder if the other item is horse related.?

Nice little finds again Paul.

I'm guessing you should be doing that area to death, from all different directions. If both bronze items are horse related there just 'may' be others close bye.

Although the farmers happy me searching the beans are a few inches high now, with this rain I guess they will shoot up now. Let the crop grow now return on the next plough... Wink

While looking for something else I’ve just seen a similar hook in a book on horse harness fittings.
Listed as Medieval Strap Hook.

Great finds Paul 👍
