Hi Folks,
Me and Ron spent the day on a big old stubble field yesterday.  We were expecting to see some spring ploughing, but the contractors are still spreading the 'muck'.  We each gridded an area of the field and found a variety of finds from different eras.  A first for us was a flattened Pilgrims ampule found by Ron.  Between us we ended with very similar finds.  (Ron will probably add to this post later).  I unearthed 1 hammy, 2 Roman grots, 2 Jettons  and a couple of other grotty coins.  A part clothes hook (hook missing), a book clasp, part strap end, buckles etc. It was a nice day to be out and about and nice to find a few bits and pieces.  Cheers and Happy Digging.  Tom

that's a good day out still - let's hope they aren't only going to harrow it (like the local farm I go to)..

One day I hope to find a short cross Smiley

What a great array of finds. A good day to be sure. I’d be happy to find a couple of those items. Well done again and thanks for posting.  Grin

Ooow ! Nice finds Ron. Is that a little annular brooch I can see ?
Bit of good land you’ve got there. Well found and more to come. Ploughed or harrowed, you won’t have found everything.
