Hello to all, I have decided to upgrade to an XP Deus. Does anyone know of any second-hand ones going cheap-ish?

I would prefer WS5 headphones, 11" coil and a remote. I will be going abroad with it so the hardcase would also be a plus.
No preference for the X35 coil versus the old ones
Cosmetic scratches etc are not a problem

Thanks

Hi. I have a Deus with WS5 headphones, remote and 11" coil that could be for sale. Also have the boxes, instructions and waterproof remote cover. I think I still have a home made hard case as well. It has hardly been used and just sitting in a cupboard. If you are interested then I will get it out and check it over and also work out a price.

that's a shame it's sitting in a cupboard - what are you using instead?

E Trac. I find it is more sensitive than the Deus.

When I decided to go to only 1 detector, I kept my E-TRAC over my Deus (which was the full type, with 9" coil), but I did appreciate it's lightness and wireless headphones. Main reason was that the year I had both, I found 1 hammered with the Deus and 7 with the E-TRAC.

I almost used my E=TRAC today, but ended up using the CTX instead (with the 17" coil). Managed to break my headphones again - and these this time are the Koss ones.....

Thanks for the link - I will be ringing him to get the CTX fixed - I've actually sorted the headphones out - usual problem - the end of the wires into the jack in this case.

I had decided to sell my CTX because I found that - with the 17" coil I was getting hip pain for a week after use - and I don't normally get any pain like that - and I also went and got a Nox (which has been good to me this year).

Anyway - despite it being in the house - when I turned it on to check it was working before sale, I found the LCD has stopped working - it's not the usual dark lines fault - it's a bit erratic and is usually a black screen with some multicoloured lines of pixels, but they are not in the same place each time. I took it apart and had one of my electronics friends look it over, but he can't find any dry joints - and I couldn't see anything wrong with any of the connections - so now I have it back again I need to put it back together and get it sent off.

It still works - you just can't see anything on the screen - and since even my ETRAC is currently parked up, I don't need another detector.
