Please help identify object, looks like a silver button but back looks too intricate.

Iíd say itís a button. You can clearly see where the attachment would have been on the back. It also looks as if itís silver on copper or some other metal.
Itís obviously old, maybe early Victorian so the design on the back wouldnít be over fussy for that time period.
Poor thing has seen some rough treatment. It would have been lovely when new. Well found.
