Well the coin is a William 1st Pax type..... but made out lead???  ..... my guess, and its just a guess mind,  is that someone was testing out they re forged die stamps  Smiley

That's really quite an interesting find  -  it says in Spinks Coins of England that lead die struck examples of the previous type (profile head right) have been found in the Thames, so wonder if that might apply to the Paxs type too (which yours is).
