Hi Guys, I know quite a few of you are coming across the bridge for this charity rally this weekend in memory of Gary Cooks Dad. Gary has worked his butt of as has his organisers and I include myself aswell. The fields are looking good, the farmer has done us proud You must know it's in a prime location only a few miles from Cirencester, of course as with all rallies we can't promise everyone goes home with pockets full of Romans, but fingers crossed. It should be a good get together, I will say Gary has some cracking raffle prizes with top end machines donated by some very charitable traders.
The weather we cannot organise, but hey we're all detectorists and prepared.
I'll be driving round marshalling so if you see a Silver Pathfinder have a chat guys.

Good Luck And Enjoy......Spikey Wink

Good luck to the people detecting there.

I was in Cirencester earlier this month with my children - we went to the museum (which they enjoyed)  - but failed to get any lardy cake as it had sold out earlier in the morning.

A good afternoon had by many , lots of praise for it being run well which is very welcome. Roman coming up a few brooches the odd hammered, and a Celtic bronze stater found by a very happy lady. Most are tucked up now in campers and tents. A few hard core giving it large to madness. Lost of fields opened up tomorrow. Great support for the cancer charity.

A great event and enjoyed by all.

Its a change to see hundreds of finds surfacing.

What a great charity event for a very good cause as cancer hits all families at some point in their lives. Wink Jerry.

There was a great atmosphere as has already been said.  We didnt find many finds but was in awe of what came out of the ground!
I won a good prize in the raffle so all that rain was worth it (not)!!!!

I heard they also raised a record amount for the charity.

In excess of £27,000.
