As promised here are a few finds of late. The first is a partefact and most probably early medieval strap end with decoration. Then 4 x Roman coins in beat up condition. Followed by a 1/4 of a hammered penny, the Deus done well locating this small fragment. Next are 3 x lead shot and a lead spindle whorl. Followed by a bronze finger ring part of a spacer from a buckle and a small medieval buckle.  Wink Something to look at during these lean times guys.......

That’s a nice strap end Paul and I wouldn’t mind finding those Romans. Hope you’re not hoping for an I.d. on the quarter  Grin
If that’s a ring, someone either had big fingers or the buckle is very small. Always nice to find a spindle whorl.  Can’t remember which way round they’re aged. Is it plain is oldest ? Patterned is later ?
Well found, thanks for posting.

Nice going Paul. Sadly, I just can't nab any Roman stuff yet but I do keep trying. I did once capture a blank bronze disk that may have possibly been Roman, whilst out detecting in one of Dung-beetle's permissions.

Well done Paul.  Great to see you are getting out.  Me and Ron are heading for some pasture tomorrow and will hopefully find something we can post on the forum.  Keep them coming and Happy Digging!!!  Tom.

Sorry to hear the Romans elude you, may be try a few rally's or paid digs if you can depending where you live, they regularly turn them up. Good luck.  Wink
