Now this could bring this post full circle  Grin

We’re lucky enough to have a visiting Kestral. We think it’s a she but hard to tell.
She sits on the telegraph POST in the field over the road. Had some great views of her as she zooms overhead quite low.
At the present it’s a time of plenty for all the birds of prey. There are baby Sparrows everywhere and an opportunist Sparrow Hawk that visits. I’ve seen her sitting quietly in one of the bushes till they’re down on the lawn, you know the rest.

Watched a seagull today, as it sneakily glided up behind a seated punter with a hotdog and nearly snatched it from his hand as it moved in over his left shoulder. Poor bloke looked absolutely gobsmacked and wrapped up his food and moved away. Sneaky bloody birds; they can poop on the head of a moving target from thirty foot overhead.

I idly watched a gull one day as it glided along the front and had my breath almost taken away as I observed it's glide path and how it turned to port, side slipped, and then dropped onto a hotel front sill. I wonder if it was the grace of gulls that drove men to want to fly?

Lol, I never knew how fast it would be even in a big cage, It doesn't need instructions and it's amazing how it knows what to do, must be instinct.
