Recently received my long awaited Equinox and my first two trips out i was not that impressed as i was digging a lot of iron after reading up on the settings on the internet my third trip out produced much better iron rejection . Using Field 1 mode with Sensitivity 23 Iron bias 2 and Recovery speed 1 i was rewarded with my first silver coin from one of my permissions a Queen Victoria Jubilee head threepence dated 1890 ,this small coin gave a loud and clear signal at a depth of 5-6inches .The Minelab Equinox is a good machine but takes a few outings and settings to get the best from it and depth wise i have dug down to approx 10 inches +  so far not had any beach outings yet but will do very soon. Just thought i would share my early experience of the machine with those still waiting for theirs to arrive and everyone else .
