The Rodney Cook Memorial Charity Detecting Weekender

21st 22nd 23rd September

A Charity Weekend Metal Detecting Event on the outskirts of the ROMAN TOWN of CIRENCESTER in the Cotswolds and very close to the Roman Road...does it get any better than that???

This event has been organised by our detecting buddy, Gary Cook in memory of his dad Rodney, who he lost to cancer last year. All profits raised will go to the Bath Royal United Cancer Unit, who did so much to help his dad.

A group of his detecting buddies have come together to help make it special.....so far, the weekend will include;

Over 400 acres of mainly arable land, with different fields available each day.

Free Camping / Hot food & drinks / Licensed Bar & Entertainment in a converted barn plus plenty of free parking.

Token Hunt, with some great cash prizes.

These are just a few reasons to book your tickets NOW....for the 21st, 22nd and 23rd September....

PRICING

FULL WEEKEND TICKET to include free camping, one exclusive raffle ticket for a bonus raffle to win a metal detector, to be drawn on the Saturday night, PLUS a small amount of land will be available for detecting on the Friday for those camping - £50

Friday - Gates open at 12.00 for those camping for the weekend. There will be a small amount of land available for detecting for campers only. The bar will be open and there will be entertainment on the Friday night from 7.00pm. There will also be food available all evening.

DAY TICKETS for the Saturday and Sunday - £25 per day.

Saturday - Gates open at 8.00, briefing at 09.00, detecting starts at 9.30 and finishes at 6.00. There will be food and drinks available all day and evening, and a separate raffle with lots of great prizes. The bar will be open throughout the evening and entertainment is planned.

Sunday - Gates open at 8.00, briefing at 9.00, detecting starts at 9.30 and finishes at 5.00. There will be food and drinks available all day and a separate raffle with lots of great prizes. The site closes at 6.00.

There will be different fields available for each day.

BOOKING PROCESS
When booking, all detectorists must provide a valid NCMD/FID membership number and the Metal Detecting Code Of Conduct will apply to this weekend event.

.PLEASE NOTE, we are limited to 350 tickets for this event, so you are advised to book quickly. Once booked and paid for, tickets will be non-refundable.

Unfortunately, due to this being a working farm, pets will not be allowed at this event.

But please note....We have no control over the amount of finds, condition of the fields or the weather...that will be down to God and him alone...so any complaints to him please, or your local vicar....but maybe have a word with him beforehand....it can only help!
