Cheers,the bronze pot leg got me going when I first saw it.it looks like an axe head..
No sure if the lead item is a spindle whorl or a loom weight

Nice selection of finds Andre. I’d say the small round thingy with the bit in the middle is a spindle whorl. The larger flat one is probably a skirt or curtain weight.

The field is part of one of my permissions but was always full of nasty bulls.The farmer said someone has been there detecting about 12 years ago but didn’t find much.
It’s my second time there,first one found about 30 coppers and a gold brooch.Its going to be turned into a potato field so I’m out of it till September

I keep asking the farmer on the permission I go to if he is going to plough some of his pasture (he's mentioned it once or twice) - but he hasn't yet. As other people have said - it's going to be great when it does get ploughed.

By the age of the stuff I’ve been finding,the first ten inches bring stuff from late 1700’s.The same applies for other fields I do.Sometimes farmers they change the purpose of certain fields,you have to keep an eye on it Probono

I've been talking to him about it for 5 years now - I'm sure it'll happen one day......the particular field had stuff from 900BC up to around 1360 (for me at least). Problem is one half of the field is shallow and stony and the other end is bottomless...
