Just got in the house we were not able to locate the gold ring
The item in question may well have been lost at another location on the farm.
Myself and a few friends were thanked by the Farmer and the chap who lost the ring.
Nice people and they really appreciated our efforts.....PaulB.

Can’t say you didn’t try Paul. I’ve been out a couple of times on a similar search. Both times the ring was found nowhere near where the owner thought and neither time with my detector  Cry
Being strangers John went with me. He found both of them  Shocked
One with the pin pointer and the other as he was walking back along the track.
Don’t know why I bothered to go  Grin

Thanks folks the crux of the matter was could have been lost on any part of farm
but only certain of area when he noticed it gone....pity.
