Hello guys, myself & tom had a few hours out yesterday, fields were a bit sticky but after the snow and rain we can expect that,we went on a couple of fields where we haven't detected much,we had a good search about for an hour or two but not much to show for it,we then decided to go to a field where we have had quite a bit of stuff, including silver units ,roman and hammereds, still very sticky but moor stone so wasn't has bad as the first,we then started to find a few bits and bobs,i think it was 9 romans all together mostly groty ones, and I had an unsual token if anybody got any ideas that would be great, here are my photos tom will most likely post his later cheers guys Ron.

Well done you guys still at it despite the ground conditions....we all need to get some searches in before every thing starts warm up and crop growth, should be a bit of Spring drilling soon....then the dreaded time of year when it's too hot and searches are vey difficult........ Wink

Nice token - and romans..

I appreciate your dedication - I see that eBay is quiet at the moment - it's a sign people aren't getting out and finding things.

I've now managed to get a permission over t'water - so I hope I might start to find things again myself Smiley

The big roman is Faustina II minor. Another one you have is a Gallienus (top left of the group shot).

And here's my few Roman coins from our 'sticky day' out.  The coin showing good detail has some silvering on it.  ID  if possible please Roly.  Nothing else except for a nice little spectacle buckle and the usual scrap  Cheers and Happy Digging!!  Tom.
